As we expected we had rising AWS RDS costs due to setting up four partner stacks. Each partner stack has a multi availability zone primary database, a read only replicable of the primary, and an analytics database.
For the most part our Heroku bills decreased across the board, except for a one month increase in our Sensor Sea processing costs in order to catch up from the outage it had.
Datadog costs have gone way up due to the way they charge us for each container that reports data. Since we’ve recently added a lot of containers for partner stacks this has lead to high Datadog costs. We have a plan to explore moving off of Datadog to Sumologic’s metric graphing solution which has much more favorable pricing for us.
