Some thoughts on what I consider professional behavior among employees.
- Taking pains in order to unblock fellow employees.
- Tracking follow ups.
- Thinking about work.
If a process feels inefficient or like a slog, figure out how to automate or streamline it. Don't allow things to exist as 'make work'.
Take some initiative to make improvements. Anticipate what needs to happen. Write notes. Create documentation.
Invest some amount of time to keep up with the latest tools and techniques in the industry, adapt to gain leverage and efficiency.
Devote some amount of time to thinking about the bigger picture, zooming out and questioning whether we ought to stay on the track we've started.
