Communicate Vulnerably

Dear Matthew,

True communication requires vulnerability. If U don’t feel a bit of vulnerability when communicating then U probably haven’t conveyed any information. Communication that conveys new information always comes with the possibility that the receiving party will reject the new information. Communication devoid of new information scarcely deserves the label, at best it communicates your own paucity of thought.

If speaking the truth to someone scares U, good. Best to speak it immediately. After all, U must Chase your Fears. U’ve probably noticed that the messages U’ve left unsaid stick in your chest like little anxiety rocks. U don’t need to carry that stress around with U. Unload those rocks as fast as U can.

U can express vulnerability because U have learned Ukemi.
